Yellowstone - Spring Hills Suite Island Park

If you have never been to Yellowstone, you are missing out. I would totally recommend that place. There are no words to describe how beautiful and fantastic that place is. Seeing the geysers were for sure the highlight of our trip! But we also got to see some wildlife, and that made our short trip even more exciting. 

We explored West Yellowstone and drove around the loop, or whatever was on the map that the park rangers gave to us prior to entering the park. We got very lucky and were able to see Old Faithful erupt almost as soon as we got there. If you are going to Yellowstone, that's definitely something worth watching... the geyser erupts at certain times of the day and they usually have a sign by the Old Faithful entrance showing the predicted time of eruption... I'm sure you can find that online as well. 

We went to eat at a restaurant right across from Old Faithful. If you're hungry or need to eat, I would 100% recommend leaving the geyser right after the eruption is done because EVERYONE will go to that restaurant and the line gets LONG. Since we had our kids with us, we decided to hurry up because they were hungry, and soon realized everyone was going there. Again, we got lucky that we didn't have to wait in line to eat, or else my kids would be very hangry ;) 

We stayed at the Spring Hills Suites in Island Park... it was the perfect location for our trip. The hotel is located 30 minutes from West Yellowstone, in a beautiful area with a river right in our backyard. Bring fishing rods! So many families fishing and boating... there's a rental shop right next to the hotel where you can rent kayaks to go down the river and they drop you off at a certain location and you go down the river and get off at the hotel. There is also an ice cream and pizza place right next to the hotel and that's super convenient, the kids loved it! On the other side of the river, there is a Mexican restaurant and again, very convenient if you're traveling as a family or even alone, everything is within walking distance. Location of this hotel is PERFECT, I wouldn't recommend it enough. The hotel was extremely clean and looked brand new, I don't know how long they have been there, but I loved staying there! Their jacuzzi was so big and there is also an indoor heated pool. Breakfast is included in your stay. My family is planning another Yellowstone trip next year and we are for sure going back to Sring Hills Suites Island Park. if you stay there, let me know what you thought!!!!
